Networking in this business…

The way the world works it seems to me that the most effective way of doing business is building relationships over time and gaining referrals from people who trust you and are happy to expostulate about why people should be using you.

I have just (re)joined a group called “BNI” – business networking international – this is a way to spread the word and build relationships with people who you may not have normally come in contact with. If you are lucky enough to join one of the groups that is in your area most of the professionals are based in your area too.

I am always constantly looking at new ways to build my networks of professionals. When I first started in this business I came from an education background so had to start building my contacts from the ground up. This is always the challenge, especially if like myself and my partner you are private people and like going to the movies or out to dinner with close friends but dont as a  general rule like going to large social gatherings or activities.
